Humana’s continuing partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation is bringing life back to our forests and helping to restore landscapes and habitat, protect water resources, and make our planet greener and healthier for generations to come.
Nearly 290,000 trees have been planted since Humana’s partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation began in 2009.
In 2013 alone:
• 40,000 longleaf pine and bottomland hardwood trees were planted – 30,000 were planted in Manchester State Forest (SC) and 10,000 were planted in the John Tully Wildlife Management Area (TN)
•Several ecosystems rich with wildlife were rehabilitated
This partnership is part of Humana’s commitment to improving the health and well-being of our members, our associates, the communities we serve, and our planet.
