Humana’s Busy Burr, Vice President of Innovation and Head of Humana Health Ventures based in Palo Alto, Calif., has been named one of Silicon Valley’s 2016 Women of Influence by the Silicon Valley Business Journal. Busy leads Humana’s Strategic Investments and Innovation Partnerships to enable transformational innovation in health care.
Past winners have included Sheryl Sandberg, COO of Facebook; Congresswoman Anna Eshoo; and philanthropist Laura Arrillaga-Andreessen.
“Busy is establishing Humana’s footprint in Silicon Valley and showing that we are the company to partner with when it comes to creating breakthrough solutions for some of the toughest challenges in health care,” said Chris Kay, Senior Vice President and Chief Innovation Officer at Humana. “Bold, ambitious innovation has to connect with human emotion, and Busy gets that. We couldn’t be more proud of her and the work that she and her team are doing. This is a well-deserved honor.”
