Traction, a startup pitch competition at the recent Health 2.0 fall conference in Santa Clara, Calif., allowed promising health technology companies to pitch their business plans to a panel of judges.
As MobiHealthNews reported, “Miami-based DermaSensor and Berlin-based Klara have been named the champion startups among a pool of roughly 80 companies… The former unveiled a portable, handheld, highly accurate skin cancer sensor, while the latter demonstrated a secure and centralized platform for medical communications.”
Humana’s Dennis Hillen, a Director in Consumer Innovation, was one of the six judges.
“It was an honor and a pleasure to judge the Traction startup competition,” he said. “In an industry ripe and ready for disruption, identifying and supporting the top emerging startups will be helpful in accelerating the solutions needed to improve outcomes and lower costs.”
