Seniors in South Kansas City now have a nearby option to receive personalized, full-service primary care with the opening of the newest Partners in Primary Care center inside a Walgreens store in Grandview, Missouri.
The center brings together full-service primary care, pharmacy, behavioral health, nutrition and wellness support and other services for Medicare beneficiaries.
The grand opening this week featured:
• Tips on cooking disease-fighting foods
• A seminar on tools for a healthy life
• Tips on cooking for one or two people
• A Guide to a Healthy Heart
• Tips on cooking with grandkids
Senior-focused wellness activities – such as coffee with a doctor, healthy cooking demonstrations, and education seminars — were planned for the rest of the week.
The primary care center will be staffed by a board-certified physician and supported by a holistic care team that includes a registered nurse ‘care coach,’ dietitians, behavioral health specialists and social workers, all dedicated to helping seniors with full-service primary care, pharmacy, nutrition, wellness support and other services.
The Grandview Partners in Primary Care center is the seventh to open in the Kansas City area, and the third inside a Walgreens.
Primary care physicians at Partners in Primary Care excel at developing long-term relationships with patients living with chronic conditions. Partners in Primary Care is part of a family of senior-focused, primary care centers that deliver care to 30,000 Medicare Advantage patients.
